Dekalb ChamberBaird has a long tradition of giving back to the communities where our associates live and work.

Our team is committed to supporting the communities in which we live and work by volunteering our time and using our resources. Our ongoing commitment to building relationships in the community and empowering associates to get involved is central to our culture at Baird and our team.

Rotary International<br/>

Rotary International

Rotary International is a network of 46,000+ different clubs helping professionals and leaders connect and work together to help support our local communities and take action on global issues. For 110 years Rotary has been helping to support literacy, fight disease, protect our environment and promote world peace.


Eric is active in the Sycamore Rotaract Club and is a past President of the Sycamore Rotary Club. Brianna is a member of the DeKalb Rotary Club.

Habitat for Humanity<br/>

Habitat for Humanity

Habitat for Humanity of DeKalb County partners with families who struggle to obtain affordable housing. Volunteers work alongside the family to build the homes which results in more affordable housing for low-income families around the world.  The program includes homeowners paying an affordable mortgage and receive financial education.

Education

We are passionate about education. Eric served on the Board of Education for Sycamore School District for 12 years. We regularly sponsor Rotaract's Adopt-a-Classroom project, which provides new books to every student in sponsored classrooms throughout the school year to add to their personal libraries. We also teach financial literacy in local classrooms to help the next generation make smart financial decisions.

Spartan Food Pantry<br/>

Spartan Food Pantry

Open to the students and their families, the Spartan Food Pantry is a choice pantry exclusively for the district's families. Created in 2018, the pantry's goal is to give every student a chance to succeed.


Eric is serving on the Board of Directors currently as Vice President and we make annual, Baird-matched donations to support the Pantry's impact.

Baird Foundation

In addition to supporting associates with flexible scheduling to be able to spend time in their communities, the Baird Foundation provides matching gifts to deserving charities as well as direct donations to organizations where our associates are actively involved. In 2024, Baird Foundation contributed more than $5.8 million to qualified nonprofits, including more than $3.3 million to match our associates’ charitable donations. In addition, Baird’s United Way campaign raised more than $5.1 million in associate giving, which is our largest campaign to date. The donations were driven by participation across 57 U.S. offices, benefiting 60 local United Ways along with hundreds of nonprofit organizations. An additional $355,000 was also donated to United Ways through the Baird Foundation Associate Match program.
